Chosen Solution
I was trying to remove an already stripped screw that’s holding the battery of this device and i had no choice but to forcefully remove it via pliers. The screw is now gone but i’ve damaged that silver part near the battery. It’s now bent and i don’t know if it would affect the phone’s usage now. Can anybody tell me if this is still salvageable or i screwed up indefinitely?
There are some components underneath this shield that regulate the speaker amplifier. If the damaged shield comes into contact with the components, there is a possibility to cause a short circuit on that line. I would try to mold it back into it’s original shape while the battery is disconnected.
