How do I know if the flood illuminator is working or is KO? I opened the display, but I can’t get to it all else, otherwise it looks ok. I’m currently going to the Face ID setting and it starts, after 5 seconds it cuts and an error is thrown and I’ll try it later. If KO is not worth repairing for me and I will buy a new one sometimes. If any of the FaceID components are damaged to where they can’t communicate with the device, it will pop up with a message saying that FaceID couldn’t be activated upon restarting the device. If that message doesn’t appear, odds are you just need to replace the screen as those shards of broken glass can mess with the flood illuminator. If the flood illuminator is in fact damaged, it most likely can’t be repaired because it is paired to that specific board.
