d pad on my controller work without directly clicking on it.this occurs in a manner but fires it down the tap.there is no external damage or strong pressure fiction.gamepad new!
Sounds like the rubber button pads are worn out and need to be replaced for the D-Pad Worse case would be liquid damaged instead.
