I recently dropped my trusty old Galaxy S. The phone still turns on but I don’t see anything on the screen. It appears the backlight is working, but the cracked screen only shows a black-dead screen with white backlight seeping in. Is the phone salvageable, and if so, what should I replace?
appalachian, “the cracked screen” is the very first thing you want to replace. After you got that accomplished, re-evaluate. It is difficult to try to resolve an issue for as long as you have broken parts.
