What about using a car windshield repair kit to repair a cracked glass back on a iPhone8?
Given it’s so new I would get to the Apple Store to see what they will do under warranty. If you dropped it I would first sign up for AppleCare + so you have the added protection you have a bit of time to sign up online. Then bring in your phone for service in a week.
