hi everybody! I repair i device since a few years ago but it was just for basic fix as change a screen or dock flex, camera… nothing hard… but now I try to fix motherboards problems, change power ic, screen connector, wifi/bluetooth ic… I have a lot of iphone 4s logic boards with missing resistors and capacitors situated between the lcd connector and the wifi/blue-tooth ic see picture: I’d like to know how could I identify them, their names, their functions (capacitor or resistor?), their values, where could I buy this small “things” and if I can find data sheets of iphone motherboards? I know, I have a lot of questions in one time but I’m checking on Internet since a few month without any results, and my location ( Dominican republic) is not a real advantage. So I’m sure that your answers will be very helpful thanks a lot!
mael, here is a quick description of the parts listed in your “red boxes” FL13 80-OHM-0.2A-0.4-OHM Coil used here as filter C75 1.0UF 20% 6.3V 0201-MUR capacitor C70 1.0UF 20% 6.3V 0201-MUR capacitor C68 1.0UF 20% 6.3V 0201-MUR capacitor C69 1.0UF 20% 6.3V 0201-MUR capacitor C405 56PF 5% 16V NPO 01005 capacitor C76 1.0UF 20% 6.3V 0201-MUR capacitor C21 100PF 5% 25V Cerm 201 capacitor C273 100PF 5% 25V Cerm 201 capacitor FL4 240-OHM-0.2A-0.8-OHM Coil used here as filter FL3 240-OHM-0.2A-0.8-OHM Coil used here as filter C204 0.1UF 10%6.3V X5R 201 capacitor FL7 80-OHM-0.2A-0.4-OHM Coil used here as filter C231 56PF 5% 16V NPO 01005 capacitor C245 56PF 5% 16V NPO 01005 capacitor C187 56PF 5% 16V NPO 01005 capacitor C125 56PF 5% 16V NPO 01005 capacitor R48_RF 10K 1% 1/32W 01005 resistor R95_RF Oohm 5% 1/20W 201 resistor C70_RF 0.01UF 10% 6.3V 01005 capacitor As you can see, a lot of those components are repetitions. These are readily available at places like mouser.com or digikey.com. Please familiarize yourself with the sizes of those components. The packages i.e 01005 identify the sizes. It will not be easy to solder those. I suggest to invest in a good source of magnification and a very good soldering iron with a very fine tip, as well as a reflow station. Board level repair is extremely difficult to learn and will require plenty of practice. Hope this helps, good luck.
