Hey IFIXIT People: I received the replacement battery for my 13” Early 2014 MacBook Air. What a beauty! Before I replace it I want to know if I have the right screwdrivers for all the outside and inside screws. I have the following IFIXIT screwdrivers: PH000 (four-star), PH00 (four-star) & P5 (five star). Will these work for all the screws? Thanks!!
Hi, Here’s a link to the ifixit MacBook Air 13" Early 2014 Repair guides for your laptop. If you click on each repair guide it will show you the tools necessary for the repair. For the battery replacement, the P5 pentalobe and T5 torx screwdrivers seem to be the ones to use.
You need a T5 Torx screw bit to take out the 5 screws that hold in the battery.
