Can I upgrade and convert an older HP desktop into a server? How?
Yes. But it depends on what you want to use the server for. I have used old computers for that before. Then i used different Linux OS.
Your best bet is to upgrade ram to max 2gb, then upgrade the hard drive to an SSD or Hybrid SSD.
