i was wondering if there is an easy way to connect a dismantled display (from a MacBook Core Duo) to a MacMini e.g.?! displaycable to vga/displayport adapter?!
Yes this is totally possible!! All you need is the right LVDS to DVI or VGA converter. This is basically an LCD controller board. Most desktop LCD monitors have the same LVDS connection that is connected to a controller board which connects to the power cable, inverter, adjustment controls and DVI or VGA connections. I actually turned a 24 inch iMac that i got on craigslist for $50 that had nothing but the LCD into a desktop monitor this way.
XnriquX… I have a dead 24" iMac (white 2.16). What did you do to make it into an external monitor? Did you use the same ebay module?
