Keyboard went out about 6 months ago. Just got the money to buy a new one and replaced the optical drive while I was at it. Charged the battery and pushed the power. The screen flashed, the CD made a noise and the light at front came on and flashed for a sec. That’s it, no fan, no other boot up noises and no boot up. Any ideas what could be wrong? The prior keyboard worked but had a key that went out.
It could be that something inside isn’t quite plugged in the whole way- try opening it and making sure that everything is seated properly.
So you bought a replacement top case for the MacBook, not only a keyboard ? Is it new or used ?
