My iPhone’s screen is smashed and my laptop wont recognize it (with iTunes or the Finder). I’ve read it might be a logic board issue, but are there any other possible issues it could be? And how could I make sure it is, in fact, a problem with the logic board, and not, let’s say, a problem with the lightning connector??
You can fix it if you know how to microsolder. It could be the the charging port, tristar ic and quite a few more issues. The iPhone 7 had multiple issues including the flashlight ic which shut the flash and rear camera. In my opinion I would buy a used phone for a couple of hundred dollars. If you end up repairing your phone it will cost you 80 to 120 dollars to have the screen replaced. Or you can buy the screen from ifixit for around 30 dollars and change it yourself. Then you will have to replace the charging port to verify that is not the problem. If you have someone do it it costs about 50 dollars and if you do it you are looking about 5 dollars for the part plus shipping and your time to replace it. Micrsoldering is going to quite a bit more. It can cost hundreds of dollars to repair it. Unless you need the data then I would buy a used iPhone but not a iPhone 7.
