My macbook original problem was a black display but I could still hear the start up chime and I could also see my screen…After few research I figure out that the fuse had to be changed on my Logic board. Changed the fuse and then plugged my LVDS cable in…Unfortunately some of the components blown up and I could see smoke coming out of that location ( see picture with red rectangle) and the fuse as well is gone again…. Now my macbook would not even start. I can see that I am missing this resistor from the picture but dont know what to change it with…Any one has the same model or had the same problem can suggest a value for a resistor please??? Thanks in advance for reading and sharing your experiences :)
Lah, the part the went up in smoke is reference designator L9050. It is a Ferrite Bead FERR-120-OHM-1.5A in a 0402 package. Remember there is a reason why this part went “up in smoke” check your fuse again. It is supposed to protect the circuitry from anything like this happening. Hope this helps, good luck
