I have an old iPhone 6s plus laying around. Can I use its lightning port as a replacement for my weak port in my iPhone 7 plus? Or do changes such as waterproofing make it not compatible? Thanks in advance!
The charging port are not compatible. They will not even plug in. The layout of the cable is different and the connections to the subsystems wouldn’t plug either. You can buy a new charging port for around 5 dollars from ifixit.
