I repaired an iPhone 6s with a damaged screen and faulty battery. Prior to the repair, the compass and level worked correctly. However, since the repair, neither work, in addition to GPS being unable to sense the direction. Any ideas what caused this and how to fix it? I can’t imagine that the compass itself got damaged during the repair since the logic board was never touched, so I can only guess it is something else causing this.

There are 4 “sensor-related” IC’s on the logic board but none of them are in the way, so to speak. Most are under shields or on the underside of the board. Water damage or ultrasonic cleaning is known to cause issues with these IC’s but otherwise, they shouldn’t be damaged from a screen repair. At this point, I would re-install the original screen to see if the problem persists. If it does, then somehow the board was damaged. If it doesn’t, then there may be some kind of weird issue with the replacement screen.
