2 year old Whirlpool wtw5000 top loader. Washer washes, rinses and drains fine, water pumps out like crazy. It’s spins. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to spin compared to our old style washer. It spins stops , pumps some water, spins and stops pumps some water and then it’s done. But there’s still some water down below and clothes are sopping wet? The darn thing takes so long to do a load of clothes I’ve never really paid attention to what it does and when. So everything seems normal except the clothes are wet.

@bearster sounds like a clutch issues. It sounds like it does what it is supposed to do, spin and pump. If your spin speed is not high enough then you do not get the water out of the laundry. This video should at least get you into the right direction. Replacement clutches are available at places like this

Barry, Check drain hose for being pinched/kinked/plugged or the pump could also be partially plugged or starting to fail. Video links below may help to trouble shoot and disassemble washer to check hoses/pump for being plugged or replace pump. Good luck.
