Hey everyone. New to the Forum but i was wondering if anyone could help me. I have been working on a iPhone 5C that was dipped into a dogs water dish (battery side) and then also dropped a few days after. When it got water damaged i turned it off, opened it and the only water damage indicator that was red was the one down by the battery, i let it dry out and everything worked fine, fast forward to a few days when it was dropped. The front screen smashed completely but still worked sort of. Enough to determain if it was worth fixing or not. So i ordered a new screen, a new battery, even a completely bare housing (was blue but wanted white) so i switched everything over, went flawlessly the only thing that does not or will not work correctly is the time. Ive tried resetting network settings, restore, full update and restore and set as a new iPhone, toggled the automatic date and time on/off, no matter what i do as soon as i lock the phone and let it sit, the clock either stops or jumps back a few minutes. Im stumped, do any of you know what could be causing this? The only thing i can think of is maybe the battery? I dont think it is OEM does this make a difference? Thank you guys for any input you may have.

When you get a phone wet just drying it out is usually not enough you need to clean the phone as the moisture causes corrosion and this is likely you issue You will need to take the phone apart and clean all the contacts and connectors with 99% isopropal alcohol look closely at the logic board and look for discoloration and corrosion clean thoroughly and any time your battery gets we get a new one.
