My new qled lasted 4 hours before clicking and switching off with no red light. Model is Samsung qe43q60r. Tried the reset thing but to no avail. Tried new power cord, same result, changed fuses in plugs,no change, and I’ve no electronics experience at all. Have I just wasted £700?
Hi @mmcsc , If there is no power light and you have checked the fuse in the plug (was it blown?) and have replaced the cord, as long as you have also checked that the power outlet that the cord was plugged into is still working OK then if the TV is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty then go the warranty route to get it fixed, replaced refunded etc. As long as there wasn’t a power spike just before it failed (storm or power outage) that the manufacturer can claim as the cause and refuse warranty then you should be OK. If there was, consult your home insurance policy to check if the TV (electrical goods) may be covered for storm and tempest. Unfortunately it sometimes happens with electronics. They either fail very early on or they work for a long time. Mostly they work for a long time from new. You can be unlucky. I have a “new” gas oven where it worked when tested upon installation and failed the very next day - faulty electronic control board - the board was replaced under warranty and it has worked for over 3 years now without a hiccup
