I have an iPhone 5S 32gb on Sprint. I bought it off ebay as a “no power” unit. I put it into DFU, and restored it. Phone seems to work fine but display does not work at all and when plugged in it either vibrates or chirps, depends what you have it set on. Once unplugged, it stops. An ideas?
If there’s no sign of water damage then booking with the apple store and they will sort it the phone will be still in warrenty no point repairing when you can have it done for free
What do you mean “depending on what you have it set on”? This is probably a hardware issue, as the phone is booting up it is failing somewhere in a hardware detection. You should inspect the logic board as best you can for missing components and liquid damage. If you have another 5S, try each of the small parts on the other device to test for functionality. Starting with the LCD. This will help you find the bad component (maybe the logic board itself if everything else works just fine).
OKAY, I bnrought the phone into Apple. The Genius bar said that the cables looked mangled, but replaced my old ebay phone with a brand new 5S! Thabnks for the suggestion!
