Hi When the iPhone is powered on and in iOS it charges without a problem. However, when it dies and turns off a red battery icon shows (without a lightning cable on the screen) and remains in this state and does not power on again. Why is this and how do I fix it? Thanks
This symptom points to one of the charging IC’s called Tristar being faulty. It will need to be replaced by a repair shop who offers microsoldering.
