charging port stopped working. I cannot re-charge my kindle paperwhite. Has anyone had problem like this, and what can be done? Thank you, Sandra
Sandra, sounds like you may have a loose USB port. Charge port is soldered to a circuit board inside the Kindle that allows battery to charge. If the soldered connection breaks, the battery no longer charges. If you google your problem you will see there was a problem with Kindles charge ports. Small computer/cell phone shops can make repair/replace charge port, get an estimate, just a guess $30-$40.00. Good luck.
