Hello, I’ve gone through the answers in this site but I didn’t see any relevant cases. The thing is, I connect the charger and the device won’t turn on, with or without battery. I know for a fact that: The battery is okay, it’s charging in another device. The device turns on if a charged battery is pressed against the pins and works as usual (I’ve tried both the original battery after charging it and another one). The adapter is okay, because it’s charging another device. This makes me think the problem may lie on the charging port itself, are there any fixes for this? I’ve managed to dismantle the device but I see no apparent damage (Not that I’m an expert of any kind at this anyway). Motherboard:

@melferas there are some fuses on your GBA SP motherboard. The issue you are describing would fit the bill of a blown fuse. Post some really good pictures of your board with your QUESTION. Adding images to an existing question That way we can see what you see and hopefully help you out further. You’ll need a multimeter as well to determine if you have continuity at the fuse etc. Yes a failed connector is possible. check the pins and see if they are bend etc. Also., check with a meter to see if you have continuity from the outside of the connector to the traces. Update (09/19/2020) Check both fuses for continuity with a meter. If those check out okay, I’d check the connector as shown at ~6:00 min in this video After that replace the connector and see if that resolves your issues. Schematics are not readily available so it ‘ll be difficult to determining the circuitry for any board level repair.
