My charging port won’t charge, so I’ve been forced to use a wireless charger. If I were to replace it, what part exactly would I need to order and replace, because I imagine it’s connected to something else like the motherboard maybe.
Hi, The charge port is on the phone’s I/O daughterboard. Here’s a link to the ifixit Samsung Galaxy S8 I/O Daughterboard Replacement guide which may be of some help. The part is available from ifixit. Just click on the part in the parts list in the repair guide. It is only to show you the cost of the part. There may be other suppliers that suit you better.
