lately we have been getting in iPad air’s and iPad Pro’s with charging issues we start with replacing the charging port then if that doesn’t work we try the battery and then the charging IC but we have noticed that none of these are fixing it. Has anyone else had similar issues and if you have were you able to find a fix?
I can’t speak for the Pro but on the iPad Air, the problem is usually with the charge port or the battery. By charging IC, I presume you are referring to the Tristar IC. However, I have not seen much success when changing that IC. When the problem persists, it is usually the PMIC. However, they are a more challenging repair and the replacement cost of a PMIC can be quite high so not all customers agree to the repair for such an old device.
