i have dell 5547 and it is not going well from last month. problems 1)it automatically turn off the charging even it is not charged.2)when i am using and also charging it turn on and off charhing automatically after 1 minute this problem on/off,on/off continue for some time after this it turn off charging permanantly. when i remove batery it is oky and after some time the same problem so i have to remove batery again and again

i have check charger it is oky some people are saying it is charging ic problem

Hi, Apparently there are ‘custom charging options’ available in BIOS I suggest that you check your BIOS settings to see what charging options are set. Here is a page which describes a BIOS update A02 dated 11.04.2014 which shows under Fixes and Enhancements that it is to “modify BIOS setup menu custom charging setting options http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/0… You BIOS version may be later than this as there was a BIOS update A10 dated 30.9.2016. so the custom charging options should be in there. Just a thought. Also there may be a problem with the power adapter port. It may be loose etc. Here is a link to the service manual for your laptop.
