A dodgy wall charger exploded while charging my 3gs. The phone will no longer turn on or charge. I have replaced the battery (no change) and have purchased a dock connector which I will fit. If that doesn’t work any other thoughts?
Nick, if any of those things you are doing will not work, then check the charging fuse as well as the battery fuse. Look for any charred, burned, or missing components. Check the power management IC for any charring, etc.
