My mom has a 4th gerneration iPad, model A1458. It has an electric wall charger with an end similar to the iPhone 6. While her iPad was charging, it fell from her chair to the floor, and the charger that is inserted into the iPad to charge broke in half, leaving half in the iPad with no way to get it out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The plug does “snap” in place so it will require some light force to remove. Try some tweezers or fine point long-nose pliers. You may also try to pry it out (gently) with something pointy, working one side at a time. Be careful because you don’t want to do any unnecessary damage to the housing, port or glass. If you don’t have the proper tools, consider going to your local shop and they may do it for a low fee.

I would try and pry it out carefully with pointed tweezers : https://www.amazon.com/URBEST-Compact-St… try to keep the tweezers in the center of the port hold when prying the piece out because there are pins on the side wall of the port that can easily be damaged. There are shops that do this type of thing for free. I do at my shop. I would call around and ask a few different shops.
