Yes I know….I promise its not lint.
Somehow, my parents have managed to do something to the charge port. The cable will not fit in order to charge it. Everywhere I have looked on the internet talks about clearing out lint. There is none. The charge cable simply does not fit completely. Vertically it it fine, but horizontally, it does not fit. I thought there might be something stuck in there so I have inspected it completely. There is no metal anything lose in there that I can see.
Any ideas?
I’d like to know what might have caused this before I get them another one. Otherwise the iPad is in perfect condition!
Try to use some fine-tipped tweezers to clean out the port but by the looks of it, you might have a bent pin. They didn’t try to use a micro-USB cable did they? And you can get the port replaced but you’ll need someone skilled in micro soldering. iPad Rehab, Rossmann Repair, and STS Telecom are quite skilled and they all have youtube channels you can check out.
