So i work at a repair shop and got given an iPhone X with a damaged screen, the face ID still worked on it fine though. I also have my iPhone X with a perfect screen, Face ID working also.. Decided to swap screens because i was curious to see the inside and work on them. Swapped screens and neither Face ID work, i straight swapped them without removing anything from either screens. I Follow some google steps by resetting settings etc on the originally broken phone because mine is jailbroken but still not working. I move the screens back to the original phones and they both work fine with Face ID.. What causes this? Am i missing something?
Turns out it was a part of the front camera sensor also, swapped that and it worked
in apple new update , faceid is tide with original screen not logic board, so be careful … now a days apple sucks.. monopoly
solución, soy de Venezuela, se me partió la pantalla del iphone x, me paso lo mismo que a muchos cambie pantalla solo la pantalla puse su sensores otra vez en su sitio y cuando armo nuevamente, sorpresa! no funciona el face id, después de desarmar el teléfono unas 20 veces, descubrí 2 cosas: 1- estar seguro de desconectar la batería al momento de desconectar la pantalla. 2- en el sensor de luz aparte del molde de goma que tiene el iphone para colocar todos los sensores, en la pantalla como tal en el fondo donde va el sensor de luz ambiental me di cuenta después de tanto análisis casero…. que le es necesario tener por todo el borde entre el sensor y la pantalla un aislamiento como de goma o algo que impida que le entre luz de la pantalla… todo esto se ve dificil pero es muy sencillo, no soy experto en computadoras para subir imágenes.. pero descubrí que es esto por que me di cuenta que le entra luz de la pantalla y por eso no funciona….. entonces con la misma pega que le saque a la pantalla vieja se la coloque entre la pantalla nueva y el sensor de luz ambiental como impidiendo que le entre luz al sensor desde la pantalla… conecte todo otra vez al igual que la tierra de oro que va en el tornillo, encendí y listo… funciono de nuevo.. otra cosa, si activan el true tone deja de funcionar el face id… tiene que reiniciar el iphone y vuelve a funcionar el face id… no activen el true tone
when you change display, the sensoris not connected perfect .if perfect try reset the phone .. it worked ….
I was using my iphone x while raining and after some time i tried to unlock the phone but face id was not working so i reset the face id and start setting the face id again but its not working. i have visited authorised apple service centre and he said that display needs to be changed.. is it the only solution i have now.. Please provide me the best solution.
