my iphone 7 which is on 11.4.1 has the greyed out speaker. It has 71 days left on the warranty, and i have an appointment with a certified apple repairer. I am going to try and get repair or replacement . I am in the UK What are my chances? if they refuse, can i appeal?
I agree with Tom, there is no reason they should refuse your warranty unless there is external or internal evidence of damage or prior “unauthorized” repair. If you do get an unhelpful Genius, you can ask for a manager or try again another day or at another store. In a worst case scenario, the AudioIC problem is well documented and a long-term solution is at hand via repair shops that do micro-soldering repairs.
Why would they refuse warranty?
