Suddenly certain keys on the keyboard have stopped working: F6 4 7 = a s d [ k l and ; (I have hooked up a Bluetooth keyboard to type this) I have: Turned off, removed battery, held power switch down for > 1 minute - then rebooted - no change Gone into NetBios using F10, done a keyboard test - it fails I have uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard druivers - no effect. If possible, can somebody at least confirm if this is a motherboard or software problem. I already replaced the keyboard without success.
Hi, Since you have replaced the keyboard (was there a new keyboard cable with it?) and the keyboard diagnostic test still fails and an external keyboard works OK, it appears as though there is a problem with the keyboard controller on the motherboard.
