Hey everyone, I have a Macbook v. 3,1, and I’m experiencing a strange error. The 1,Q,A,Z, delete, and spacebar keys on my keyboard all stopped working simultaneously, and randomly, a number will get “stuck” without me pressing it, filling whatever text box is active with a stream of 9’s or 6’s. If you have any idea what’s going on, please help. Thanks so much in advance.
First thought–has anything been spilled on the keyboard? Second thought–I notice the dead keys are in one row so you could have a problem with the keyboard cable. You would need to open the unit a check the cable for damage and proper insertion into its logic board connector. No go on the first two you probably need a new keyboard. Hope this helps. Ralph
