I bought replacement motherboard for my PS4 FAT after having BLOD, the seller provided me motherboard with “its original daughter board for BluRay drive”, but I still get CE-35888-2 error when trying to update, I’m trying to update to 9.0, I checked all ribbon cables with multimeter they are good, am I supposed to update to 10.1? The original daugther board from my board is BDP-025 while the replacement one is BDP-020, am I supposed to “remarry” the IC from my board or is there any way to get the console running

First off, NO! If you’re below 9.00, do not update to above that. CE-35888-2 is mismatched mother/daughterboard. If you are getting that error from hardware that you bought that claimed to be matched, they lied to you. OR because it was being shipped and handled outside of the console, it’s possible the ESD damaged the Renesas chip. These are encrypted to match a very specific APU/NOR/Syscon set. If the Renesas is dead or mismatched, there is no way for you to force a match. This is why, no offense, if you had a BLOD PS4, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just get a different PS4 and sell the BLOD for parts. Replacing the mobo seems like so much more hassle and risk of exactly what you’re experiencing.
