going thru motions with all ink cartridges full but pages coming out blank

same here, this printer was given to me and was not plugged in for considerable about of time i have installed fresh compatibles. i think it is something to do with the feed the pipes at the bottomwhere the go into the cartridge are only half coated with the ink. Help
