SD card reader function on a Toshiba C55Dt. Reader does not seem to work.

Hi, Have you checked the status of the card reader in Device Manager? It should be listed under ‘Disk Drives’.

Check that there are no red crosses or yellow exclamation marks shown next to the listing. If there is a red cross. right click on the device and then click enable in the box that appears. Then see if it works. If there is a yellow exclamation mark, right click on the device , click on properties then view its’ status in the box in the middle of the General tab. It will probably say that it is not working properly. If so select Driver tab and select Update Driver and follow the prompts. Hopefully Windows will find the updated driver and install it . Once this is done see if it works. If there are no marks or crosses against the listing and Windows says that it is working properly in the status box in the Properties/ General area, have you tried a different SD Card to check that it is not the card that is faulty?
