I have assumed that my car USB port has been broken for a while now but recently I tried charging my AirPods in the port and they charged perfectly fine. I used the same cord to try and charge my iPhone and it does not even show any sign that the phone is connected or charging. I have tried MULTIPLE cables and different items to see if power is goijg through the port. I do not believe this is a USB port issue because the AirPods and vape have both charged through the same cord I attempt to charge my phone with. Forgot to mention that my phone charges perfectly normal in every other charger/wall outlet/cigarette lighter charger. any help or insight as to why my iPhone and only my iPhone is not getting any power from this specific port?
Are you using a certified cable? By the sounds of it the charger might not be putting out the correct voltage or maybe the voltage is to dirty. Your phone has two charging IC’s “Hydra” and “Tristar” The Hydra IC lets the Tigris IC know that it can start charging. If the Hydra IC thinks there is a problem with the voltage it will not give Tigris the okay to charge.
