overdrive fuse where would I find my overdrive fuse on my 2001 ford explorer Update (07/29/2017) Overdrive off switch, sub woofer and compass display not working and the automatic door locks not working either by themselves when I put in gear. the engine size is 4.0 it is a v6 Eddie Bauer special OH yeah the reverse lights are also not working the book I have says they are all on the same circuit I don’t know what is wrong someone said it might be a fuse for overdrive or something like that
@elmyragulch check fuse #9 and#10 and see what they look like. A lot will depend on which engine size your Explorer is. The other information you should consider giving us is why you are looking for the fuse.
Update (07/29/2017) @elmyragulch thank you for clarifying what is going on with your vehicle. Looks like most of your issues all tie into fuse #27 so I would start there.

With as many problems your experiencing I would use a multi meter in the panel and test all the fuses . If you are not sure on what to do set your meter to omh with sound and start on one side of the panel and touch each of the probes to the top of the fuse . Go until you don’t have a tone on the fuse then pull that fuse and replace. If your OD continues to blow the fuse you may want to pull the shifter shaft to see if the wires in the column are broke. This is a common problem in the fords with the button on the end of the shifter lever . Hope this helps
