My Asus S400C Ultrabook is loaded with W8. this time upon booting up it just hung up on the Bios setup Screen and doesnt continue to windows loading. Can anyone help me figure out what went wrong? Additional infos: tried to press ESC while rebooting to select boot preference. Windows Boot manager is visible, but upon selection it still doesnt continue to boot to W8. it just reboots back to Bios setup. Thanks.
Could be ram or the hard drive.can you get into the bios and see if it is recognizing the hard drive if so shut it off and pull all but one stick of ram .make sure its in the right slot for having a single stick of ram if it works other stick of ram could be toast if it doesn’t try switching out the ram one stick at a time till it works . if it doesn’t then we can try something else. could be a bad boot sector.
Go to Asus website download the latest BIOS update unzip the file then transfer contents to a USB stick. Hope this helps. John JM computer repairs Www.JMcomputerrepairs.com.au
