I have a new fully charged battery in the camera, yet when I try to switch it on, nothing happens.
anything happend with the camera in the past ? what happens if you connect the camera via usb to a computer ? is the lens in the “camera off” position ?
Thanks Markus. Here is the image of the camera’s battery compartment. There appears to be what could be a switch below the battery connection rods. ANy thoughts? Hopefully you can see the image and it is large enough to see the detail.

Hi i have a problem my canon power shot pro 1 wont turn on i charged the battrey and it didnt work so i bought new battreys and it still does not work i bought a new memory card and still not working is there some other solution i could use
HI, I was gifted a Canon Powershot 1 Pro. We are having a bit of trouble making the zoom lens extend beyond the 28mm mark. In other words no power zoom. Also manually extending the zoom feature is hit and miss. The quick use guide is not much help. thanks, two old camera dummies
