I have an S7 Edge. It has worked fine for 2+ years, and it still fits my needs. I planned on using this as long as I could. I have had zero issues with it up until today. I plugged it in to charge last night. When I woke up this morning, I cannot unlock it. I use a PIN, and the number pad does not come up. The screen appears normal–notifications, time, background image. When I swipe for the number pad to come up, the screen dims as usual, but the pad does not come up. I used my wife’s phone to call myself, and it appears normal–rings, her name comes up, etc. When I swipe to answer, nothing happens. I also have the camera as a quick launch on the home screen, but it will not launch (black screen only). I was going to pull the battery, but it looks like an ordeal just to do that, so for now I will just let the battery die and try recharging. Any other ideas? I also cannot turn it off, so I feel kinda stuck.
Have you tried a force restart on the phone? Try to hold the volume down buton and the power button simultaneously for 10 to 20 seconds until it powers down aamd restarts. Hopefully that helps.
