I have a Macbook pro 2016 (A1708) which is not starting anymore (logic board dead). Can I swap it’s ssd to another A1708 and recover the data from there? Will this work or will I have issues? If this is not possible, how can I recover data from the ssd? Are there any adaptors ?
You are very lucky! The Fn series share the same SSD drive! As long and you are careful you should be able to transfer the SSD across. Make sure you slide it out without lifting it too much (you may want to loosen the logic board a bit to get more room).
