I want to find out if I can put a Retina display on the 2015 MacBook Air as a project and because the display is not very sharp

Short answer: No! There are to many differences for it to work. The Air’s graphics services can’t push the retina display. Think of it this way you have a quart of milk pouring into a gallon jug doesn’t make it a gallon of milk does it!
