i see there is space for a 2nd hard drive in the mac mini mid 2011 but what about the cable you need for the motherboard?
Wait a month and there will be knock offs of the Apple cable. Check with OWC as they will probably have it first. The flex cable for the hard drive in the 2010 machine is Apple Part # 076-1360. It is an Apple proprietary cable, and the only one that will currently work is the Apple one. So, if you plan to add the second drive you need to get a second Apple proprietary cable.
look around… part#922-9560 It is for 2010 model, but also works on 2011… see youtube for step by step instructions
