seanwp2 if your machine is a Samsung NP300e5a then you can simply remove the hard drive and replace it with a SSD as @danekjohnson has said it will greatly increase you boot speed and you will defiantly notice better battery life. If however the – in the model number you showed above refer to some other model then I cannot say with certainty that this will work. Hope this helps
Yes you can place a SSD in your computer. This computer has a 2.5" spinning disk drive and you will see massive performance and battery gains from this kind of swap. You will need to find a sata 2.5" SSD. I have lots of luck with the samsung evo 850 drives. Regards, Dane K. Johnson
