I don’t know, and neither do I want to know what and how the previous owner treated this ps4… What I know: -The broken hdmi port has been removed with a drill because they couldn’t get the solder to melt……. -The drill has slipped and hit 2 of the lanes going to the port -The port has been ripped off taking some pads with it. I know that soldering a new hdmi port there isn’t a problem, but I’m not sure if there is anything that could’ve been damaged where the holes have been drilled, as the PCB is multilayered.
That looks very awful..if it was a very valuable board I’d look into schematics to get a clue on where to get traces and make jumpers but from a purely economical prospective I’d say it’s not worth the time and money at a glance..just my 2 cents..
Hi . In my opinion this is fixable … but not as you expected. In order to have a viable fix in order to use this PS4, you shoul get a HDMI cable ( a cheap one ) but one that has a male an female conector. The idea is to solder the wires from the HDMI cable directly onto the board - use the end with the female connector. You cut the cable in half splice it open and with a voltmeter using the continuity test to see wich wire goes to wich pin . After you solder each wire to the respective pin i woul use the hot glue gun to set everything in place
