Hi. Can a damaged u2 ic prevent b Touch ID/home button from functioning at all? It has completely stopped working and the screen never changed/button removed. What are possible causes of this? Thank you.
Normally, you wouldn’t expect Tristar to affect the TouchID function but looking through the schematic, I did notice that PP3V0_TRISTAR serves as an input (MOJAVE_EN_M) to MOJAVE MESA. Therefore, if PP3V0_TRISTAR is not present, then it will not enable MESA. So double check your work around Tristar and probe the voltage rails to insure everything is correct.
