Is it possible to remove the stand from the brand new iMac 27" i7? I’ll buy one soon but have to carry it in a suitcase for going abroad. All, even the common oversized suitcases, are too small for putting the iMac with its original package into it. Therefore I hope someone can help and come up with a solution.
Got some bad news here - The newest iMacs stands are different than the older ones. Presently there is no bracket mounts VESA Mount Standard to swap them out with. Here’s Apple’s TN on the subject: VESA mount adapter not compatible
