The RAM in my HP Chromebook 11 is 2GB, and I was wondering whether it could be upgraded to a larger amount. I have three questions:
- Can the RAM be upgraded?
- What is the maximum capacity the motherboard can handle?
- How difficult is the upgrade (if it possible)?
No. The RAM chips are soldered onto the motherboard.
Most models have alternative boards. You could order the 4 or 8 GB option and swap out the systemboard. Frank is correct that they are onboard memory.
