Is this true for a macbook 13 inch pro late 2011? now has two x 2 GB RAM cards
Your system uses 1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM memory modules. It has two slots which can support 2, 4 or 8 GB modules. This allows one to go all the way up to 16 GB of RAM (two 8 GB modules). You can also mix the sizes so as an example you can have one 2 GB and one 4 GB giving you a total of 6 GB of RAM. You should make sure your systems firmware is up to date before altering the memory. Follow this Apple T/N: About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers. Make sure your system is at least at this level or newer.
