Hello Ifixit Forum! My question is straightout: can the display data cable be replaced on an iPad Air 2? I’ve seen replacement cables being sold as spare parts and have an acquaintance whose Air 2 needs that operation done after a mistake in the battery replacement process.
The iPad Air 2 screen assembly has embedded cables so they cannot be replaced. Take a look at Step 32 of this guide. Only the early iPads had an actual display cable that could be replaced. Unfortunately, the cost of replacement screens for the iPad Air 2 are quite high.
