I just got finished replacing the lcd screen and digitizer on my Ipod 2g. everything went great but the digitizer still does not work. I read on alot of sites that the digitizer cable breaks easily. I don’t think I broke it cause I was very careful but I did have to fold it over after plugging it in. I checked out the digitizer cable and it looks fine. Can the cable be broken without showing any visual signs of breakage? thank you for taking the time to answer my question
John, yes it could, but that does not happen very often. It is very thin and an internal breakage would be very difficult to see. It is more common to receive a broken digitizer from a vendor. Double check your work, make sure all connectors are properly seated.
